Shuffle model numbers???

Different vendors are using diffent model numbers for what they all describe as a pink 1gb 2nd generation iPod shuffle. The model numbers are MA947LL/A and MA 948LL/A. Can anyone explain the difference in model numbers, please? Don't know which one I should buy.

Also, what is the difference between the 1st generaton and 2nd generation shuffle?
