Some songs not playing on iPhone...

I am having trouble with a bunch of my songs playing on my iPhone. They play perfectly in iTunes and on my other ipod, but after about 30 seconds of playing, they stop. Then a few seconds later it will go onto playing the next song. I'm talking about a probably 1/5 of my music won't play for more than 30 seconds. I have already taken all of my music off the iPhone and then put it back on it, but nothing has changed. It still has the glitch at the same point in the songs. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have been having the same problem that some songs will not play on my IPHONE. this only happens when I play the songs on the IPHONE. I have no problems with my IPOD or ITUNES. this must be a BUG. They are MP3 format and I even converted them to the IPOD format. WHAT can we do.

I have the same issue. Some songs that play perfectly well in iTunes and on my iPods will not play on my iPhone. They will "play" but the progress bar moves along to silence.

I have been having the same issue with my iPhone. I did a restore but no resolution.
I did find a fix to the problem and that was to convert my entire music library to AAC format. Even though my songs were already in AAC format the conversion fixed the skipping problem.

I tried the suggestion given, which was to convert all the music in my library to the iTunes format. This, to my surprise, solved the music glitches. Thanks for your help. I am now so much happier with my iPhone!

So Im supposed to reencode 20000 songs in aac to make sure my songs can play on my iphone? I deleted comments from both O.A.R and Big Head Todd....note both have special characters in the album artist field...maybe thats it?

Me too...same problem.
The only thing that resolved it for me was re-ripping the cd's. Unfortunately I don't have all of my cd's anymore so I'm just hoping Apple will resolve this obvious bug.

Same here! Actually some of the songs that won't play are the ones I purchased through iTunes, which is really weird. My CDs will play fine.

Will we receive updates here or will it be somewhere else on a fix to this problem?

i just started experiencing the same problem today.. the song will play and then all of a sudden it just stops... also.. when im browsing sometimes it just goes back to main screen.. you guys think deleting cookies and history will help? maybe something online got into the iphone thats messing up the music?

Add me to the list of folks having this problem. It doesn't happen often, maybe 1 in every 25 songs, but in a 70GB library, it can add up.

Funny how this question is marked answered. These support forums have been as buggy as my iPhone lately.

Two songs I just purchased from the iTunes store the other day... I tried to convert them to AAC format but since they are 'protected', I can't do it.

If this thread has been 'answered', I'm thinking of starting a new one to make sure it doesn't get overlooked?? LOL - It's really annoying! They are the GOOD SONGS that are just playing along in silence through iPhone.
