Avchd? does final cut express support it?

FCP 6.0.1 in intel macs does support AVCHD in some capacity.

Future speculation regarding Apple products is forbidden on this forum and I doubt whether anyone here knows the answer anyway - Apple plays it's cards pretty close to it's chest - I guess you're just gonna have to wait for any announcements at one of the traditional events.

Are there any workaround or tips, suggestions to see if FCE can convers AVCHD format to something it can use. I was told it could but am having a hard time conerting to apple codec or something else etc. Any body got some tips?

Check out Streamclip.
They may have introduce AVCHD into their conversion set, then again.....
It's free and works with Mac and Windows.
