Any suggestions for a 'jumpy' filter/plug-in?

Hello,

I've seen segments on tv shows like the 'Today Show', where they are doing a human interest story, and the footage is purposefully 'jumpy' - can anyone tell me if there a filter or plug-in I can use, to get that effect?

In addition, there are also even 'jumpier' clips, on shows like 'Maury Povich', or 'Jerry Springer' (does it sound like I watch a lot of daytime tv?), they use in flashbacks when telling someone's story, that I would like to use as well, ok, thanks very much for any assistance on this!

Jitterbug by RiverRock Studios. It's freeware, but I would also recommend the plugins they offer for sale. I use them quite often, and they're good to have in the arsenal.

I'm not aware of one although the post below indicates there is one. But I believe that only deals with titles.

However, the purposeful jumpy stuff drives me batty.

And the quick pans/zooms etc on HGTV are worse

Why oh why do you want this effect?

The quick pans & zooms were en vogue in the 80's & early 90's.

Some producers just don't want to spend the time to come up with something new. Those are the producers I don't really enjoy working with. Mix it up. Make it different. Don't just rip off something that worked last year. Next thing you know you're the music industry.

I don't wanna JUMP into conclusion but
paradoxically a complete random and crazy use of smoothCam filter commands
could deliver some bumpy jumpy results...imagine if you duplicate the filter!!!
oOOWFFF! ...Maybe not!

Wow, a hot topic - thanks for all your suggestions! I will indeed take a look at the pluggin site. As far as smooth cam, isn't that only for FCP 6? Currently, I'm running on Final Cut Studio - thank you again.
