iPod Nano 2nd Generation Battery life

What is the estimated Battery Life for a new iPod after charging fully? I could not find this info in the manual. So could someone please tell me?

Is it possible to enable support for pdf file viewing? If yes, please tell me how?

The estimated battery life is going to depend on how you use it, i.e., do you use the controls frequently, how long does the backlight stay one, etc. I usually get about 14 hours.

Nope, no PDF viewing.

I generally use normally...do not use the controls much and the backlight never remains turned on for more than a few seconds. But I do not seem to get battery life for more than 8hrs. 😟

Any idea?
