Macbook Pro Shut Down By Itself

Firstly, I use my Macbook Pro with Serato Scratch Live (www.scratchlive.net) to DJ.

Last night, while djing, my macbook pro automatically switched off / shut down while playing. The laptop was used with the power adapter and at the same time, it was charging. It just abruptly switched off and I had to restart the computer by pressing the Power Button.

Anyway a little more information would be it happened after about 1.5 hours of djing. It couldnt be a overheating issue as I have used the laptop to dj for 4 hours straight.

I have never encountered this issue before and just wondering what could have caused this? Would it be software or hardware related? Could this be a power surge/trip caused this or when the battery fully charged while djing may have played a part in this?

Many thanks in advance.

well there is a couple know issues with that MacBook Pros duo cores that could be the problem. Both from what I understand Apple has never fessed up to, but has fixed in a sneaky we aren't telling anyone of the problem way.
1. The heatsink, there seems to be a problem that causes it to shut down randomly. Mine does the same thing, once it runs for a day it won't shut down for a month or so, and hence why I never turn it off. I have had it shut down while in Final Cut, browsing the web, or just idling.
2. Is that there is a "defect" that causes the processor to whine when idle. (that probably has no relation)

As I understand each of these issues have been fixed without a press release with apple just putting in newer logic boards. I think that duo cores are on rev C now
