How do you reinstall the ipod

oaky so i just got an ipod 2 days ago for my bday so I went to install the new itunes but when I was doing that I got a message was exactly "Error 1921,Service ipod (ipodservice)could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privilieges to stop system services" So i found the ipod folder but how do i reinstall do i just delete the whol folder? Thank you in advance for the help =)
