TDK brand DVD-r Mount problem

Last christmas I got a 15x pack of TDK brand DVD-r's. I just started using them in the past few months, to burn files (duh) and then I would trash the files I burned off my computer, to make more room. This week, I wanted to access something from one of the DVD-r's, but when I place the DVD-r into my drive, it won't mount. None of the TDK brand DVD-r's will mount. I have other DVD-r brands that do mount (Sony and Apple brand).

I used Toast to burn all of my DVD-r's. When inserting a TDK brand DVD-r, Toast recognizes it and I can burn on it. After the burning is done, I always mount it, to double check the contents. After I'm done double checking them, I eject the DVD-r. Once it's ejected, if I put the DVD-r back into the drive, I don't even hear it spin. It just sits there, until I press the eject key on the keyboard.

I've already emailed TDK about this issue, but it's been about 6 days now, with no reply. Their site claims a 3-4 days for a reply.

I've also asked on other Mac forums, without any answers. Suppose I should have tried here first.

So I've still yet to hear from TDK about this issue. Apparently they don't care about their customers?

Anyway, I forgot to mention that even though my computer did mount the DVD-r's as soon as the burns were done, yet won't mount them after they are ejected and placed back into the drive, they are not "coasters" (bad burns, which are useless). They did mount on my brother's eMac, so they're still good.

Is their any kind of solution to this issue, without having to buy an external drive or replace the internal one? Maybe some kind of firmware or drive updates I could install?
