Vents and cooling my iMac...

Hey every1,

Just wondering, whats the wide thin indent strip on the back (towards the top) of the iMac? Is it an air vent?

The air vents at the bottom of the imac, do they suck air in or blow air out? If i put my hand there i can't tell (istat nano tells me the fans are on and working ok though)...

Only wondering coz i have my cooling fan blowing air towards the vent and don't want the air working against the imac fans (i work in a warm place, average temp 30-35 C outdoors...no air conditioning, only fans, but is comfortable enuf for me....)

Oh and whats the best way to keep the imac running cool?

MBP 15" 2.0GHz CoreDuo 2 GB RAM; iMac 17" 2.0 GHz Core2Duo 2 GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.4.7)
