iPod Nano (1st Generation) Headphone Port Does NOT Work

Hello All!
I was wondering if you were having the same issue as me. I have a 2GB, 1st generation iPod nano. Only the left side of the headphone worked. Now I don't think it is working at all. Is anyone else having a similar issue? I have heard things on here. Also, do you think it would be possible, that if we found a bunch of people with the same issue, that Apple would be willing to repair them for free??

Your headphone jack is broken, i.e. it has a broken connection from the logic board, usually caused by jerking the headphone plug out of the jack or wrapping the headphones around the nano and leaving the plug in. There are more ways this can happen, 3.5mm headphone jacks are very sensitive on any portable music device.

If you are out of warranty you can try a 3rd party repair place, such as http://www.iresq.com or http://www.ipodmods.com and either have them repair it or order the part and do it yourself. Check Google for more repair sites.

And no, you won't get it repaired by Apple for free unless you find about 3-4 million people with the problem.
