Unable to connect to WiFi Connection

I have had several problems connecting to free WiFi networks.
The iPhone recognizes the networks but unable to connect.
The networks are not locked.

Does anyone know what the problem is?
Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

I went to Panera Bread today and was unable to connect to their free wifi hotspot.

Please help

Yes the network is showing up. Unable to connect.

I have connecting to some wireless networks.
Usually the iphone automatically detects is and I select join network.
But it will not work on some like my base station at home and panera bread.

very strange how some connect and some don't.
especially if iphone see it.

i have checked out the link you posted and I want to thank you for your help.
But I have tried everything in the article you posted and still no luck.

i find this strange.

Same issue here.. I can connect to my home wifi network fine for a few days and then it starts saying "unable to connect." Once I reset my router it works fine again for a few more days. I don't know why it would stop working all of a sudden. My macbook pro and imac all connect fine everyday, just the phone has issues with the connection.

Thanks

Kara

I was having the same issues. When I put the iPhone into Airplane mode for about 20 seconds and then take it out, the phone was able to connect finally. This apparently resets some settings similar to having the iPhone forget a wi-fi site. However, merely telling the iPhone to forget a site, and then reconnecting to it, did not work for me. I had to go into Airplane mode and back out again.
