Looking for a good messenger bag for MacBook Pro

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for a high quality messenger bag for my MacBook Pro 15.4". I need one with a lot of functionality, pockets for stuff like cables, iPod, calculater, pencils, etc. Water bottle holder would be nice, and something that actually has some room to carry some books for school.

And of course... SERIOUS protection. We all know these bags get tossed around a lot, in the car, at the airport, etc.

I'd love to hear your feedback!

dam that bag is ugly!! lol ^ check out crumpler my friend. or buy a quailty slip case and whack it in your normal bag.

I'm not really interested in the hardcases... they look nice, but if I get a messenger bag that has a padded compartment, I don't see the point.

The crumpler bags looked cool, and functional... I need extra space to carry school materials, books, etc. However every color I wanted was sold out.

I also like the Brenthaven messenger bag, although I'm looking for a black one.

Another one I'm considering is the black, "Hamptons" BBP bag. Anyone have one of those? How do you like it?

I tried it on at the Apple store a few times and its really comfortable. It seems well padded and has a lot of compartments for stuff. In fact I was surprised at how many compartments it had. It also has a fair amount of room for other stuff like books, but I guess it depends on how many books you'll carry around.

No water bottle holder though, and hopefully you like black because it only comes in black.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" lewisg1212.....The bag is extremely versatile and built to store all the goodies the original poster ask for....so put that in your gun and smoke it mate.

Hey I really like that bag... I like how it is custom made for Apple notebooks and accessories. My only question is what kind of space is there for a binder and a couple books?

I second the Timbuk2 messenger bags. Very spacious. Well padded. Durable and you can even have one built with custom colors if you order it directly from them.

I just took a look at those... a bit pricey considering you have to buy the padded laptop sleeve separately... kind of a rip off. Not that pretty either, but to each his own.

The notebook cases are sold separately so you can get the case that fits your specific laptop.

Their customer service is excellent. If every company had customer service like that we would all be very happy consumers.
