IPod duplicates an Artist

Hi
I have 21 songs by one artist in my itunes library. The Artist name is exactly the same in Info.
After I sync my ipod and I look under Music/Artists, this artist is listed 3 times, with the same 21 songs under each of the three listings?
Any help would be appreciated

H In iTunes highlight all the songs for that artist, right click on them and select "apply sort field/same artist".

Sync your iPod again to reflect the changes.

That did it. Funny, because I did go through the info on all the songs and was sure the artist was the same.
