I had a horrible time trying to get my Time Warner Cable Roadrunner account configured from Entourage... plus Entourage did not show up under Mail Accounts in itunes...

This is what I decided to try after calling the new iphone help line and my ISP

It solved my problem in about 5 minutes:

    1. open a gmail account, if you don't already have one
    2. set up gmail account to get messages from your current e-mail account or accounts - (this turned out to be so much more convenient for me because I have 3 e-mail accounts)
    3. set up i phone to receive gmail - all your e-mail will be there almost instantly -

    hope this helps.

You first need to make sure your GoDaddy POP3 account is set up properly in Mail.app, I'm assuming your're using Mail. Here is a link that shows you how to set that up, including configuring your outgoing mail server to use port 80.

Once you've done that, you should be able to resync your mail settings on the iPhone and be good to go. I've been using my GoDaddy email account since day 1 on the iPhone w/o issue.

    Hope that helps.

On the iPhone, go to your account settings.

    Under 'Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)'
    Host Name: smtpout.secureserver.net:80

    User Name: youremail@yourdomain.com

    Password: your Email Password

Under 'Advanced', set 'Authentication' to 'Password'

Leave the Incoming and Outgoing SSL 'OFF'

By the way, this outgoing setup will work for any Email accounts you setup on your iPhone. I use it for a Bellsouth account, and a Mindspring account.

    Thanks, Scott K.
