itunes will not come up on my computer

I have had my ipod nano since Christmas 2005. Ever since then I have repeatedly tried to get itunes to come up on my computer. It won't come up ever. You click on itunes to bring it up and the licensing agreement breifly shows, and then goes away with out giving you the opportunity to click agree or disagree. I've had this problem for the past two years and I've done everything I can think of to remedy it....all the suggestions on the website. I'm ready to throw my ipod away....someone help please!!!!!!!

Are you seeing similar symptoms when you try to launch your QuickTime? (A brief flash of a screen and then nothing, no error messages?)

If so, check your PC for a Qoologic adware infestation. The free trial version of AVG Antispyware (formerly "Ewido") has been catching and killing that for most folks:

WOW! You would not believe how much adware and viruses were imbedded on my computer! I downloaded the program, ran a scan, and then THAT program froze up before I could do an update. I'm going to take my laptop and drop it out the second story window of my apartmen

Hmmm. Try a reboot and then do another check for updates (to the Ewido/AVG), and then another scan. Earlier versions of the Ewido (I've had 3.4 and 4.0.something) could sometimes get a bit tetchy if a scan was done immediately after an install (with no reboot after the install).

ok..... so I've done the reboot, itunes is coming up for the first time EVER on my computer!!!!!!!!! BUT...the update won't go through. Also,I'm having problems uploading music in to itunes. I could only get 66 songs in.... what is going on now? PS thank you so much for all of your help, you don't know how good you've made my week!
