USB card reader not being recognized

Question

USB card reader not being recognized

I have a 10-in-1 USB card reader (pocket reader) and is not being recognized on my g/f's macbook.

Is there any reason why its not being recognized?

The light comes on the reader and its ready to go, but the macbook doesnt show it.

Little help?

Having the same problem with a Lacie 4 in 1. Led is lit but the cards don't mount on the desktop. The card reader works on Power PC based iMac & G5.
MacBook is Intel?

Same problem here -- the card reader works fine on a G4 iBook, but no luck at all on my MacBook Pro. Anyone have a solution?
