Q: Powerbook G3 M4753 Wallstreet CD-ROM Type ?

Hi there,

Can anybody tell me the correct CD-ROM type for a Powerbook G3 M4753 Wallstreet ?

I purchased a drive on eBay (an M2451) and any CD I put in it tells me the drive unreadable and should be initialized.

Is this a faulty drive or did I purchase the wrong type ?

The size, shape, and connector alignment are unique to that model. It is unmistakable. If it plugs in, it should work.

Have you used a cleaning CD (several times) to make sure the lens is clean?

atari,

You have the correct drive...same as my Wallstreet. Take a look at this article for suggestions:
