CD-DVD drive won't accept discs
my daughter was importing burning a cd & the following happened:
1) She imported a CD & when it completed, the Mac made a loud "zzzt" noise and ejected the CD
2) She inserted a blank CD and clicked on Burn
3) When she checked on it, she was not sure it finished, so she clicked Burn again.
4) Nothing happened so she ejected the blank CD (had to perform the action several times)
5) Now the Player will not accept any CD/DVDs; it makes a few quiet noises (not like when its reading the disc) and a few seconds later, spits it out w/o acknowledging the disc was there
I have a feeling something is physically wrong with the drive but I wanted to see if this was a known problem.
