Do the new macbooks have a CPU whine?

Hi,
I have read about the whine. Does it affect all/most of the MBs, or just some? It it louder in some than others?
Thank you

Some people have more sensitive hearing than others. When I repaired televisions back in the 70's, a lot of high voltage transformers in TVs gave off a high-frequency vibration that would bother a lot of customers--young and old.

So, if you hear a whine, look at the bright side, you have great hearing! User uploaded file

No, my MacBook does not whine.

My iMac G5 has an almost impercepable whine, which I never noticed until I tried really hard to listen for it.

Some people are also very neurotic about noises, whereas others will not be conscious of the same noise, even if they can hear it they don't consciously notice it. I live with the neurotic type, that's how I know, haha.

I'm a kid (younger than Prof and older than my little sister, if that's a hint) and I can hear a lot of electronic stuff. TVs make an awful sound to me, muted or unmuted - even when they're off I can hear them buzzing a teeny bit, so you can imagine how bad the whine is to me. I can even hear my friend's iPod whining sometimes (if it's really loud to her) - and she can hear her dad's hard drives spinning up from across her house all the time. Not fun for either of us :/
