Hi Alan and welcome to Discussions,

have a look at SheepShaver: http://sheepshaver.cebix.net/

    Maybe it is sufficient.

    Good Luck

I have SheepShaver installed on my Intel Mini -- and it does work. It has allowed me to run OS 9 programs and open legacy files that otherwise would be inaccessible. But I only use it to rescue captured data.

I feel the installation of SheepShaver with OS8/9 is pretty complicated.

And that your target audience might be better served with used Macs that run MacOS 9.

If you use SheepShaver, you will be running OSX with an emulation window running OS9 inside it. This is bound to be confusing. And some user interface things that work one way in OSX will work differently (or not at all) in OS-9.
