possible to change processor in g5 1.8

hey guys i have a g5 tower with a single 1.8 processor, would i be able to use a dual processor setup from another newer g5 tower?? thanks

macbook 1.83, g5 1.8, Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Likely not, most SP 1.8's have only one processor socket on the mother board. additionally the mother board is also not capable of supporting a faster CPU either due to some IC2 shennanigans to prevent you doing it.
