Quickly taking a PNG screenshot of the current window

How do I quickly take a screenshot of the current window? (or, if that's not possible, of the window I select)

This is what I do very often:
1. Startup the screen capture program (called "Schermafbeelding" on my Dutch version of Mac OS X 10.4.10)
2. Select "Grab window"
3. Select the window to get a shot of
4. Save on my desktop as a TIFF file
5. Open the TIFF file (in Preview)
6. Save as PNG

Is there a way I can do this with a single key combo such as Shift-Cmd-5 or so?

MacBook Pro (C2D 2.16GHz, 15-inch), Mac OS X (10.4.10)

Command-Shift-3 (aka Apple-Shift-3) gets the whole screen.

Command-Shift-4 gets you a cross hairs, mouse-click and drag to select any region on your screen, then release the mouse button to capture the selected region.

Both will give you the Picture#.png file on your desktop.

Hope this helps...

EDIT: Ps. With the maintenance utility Onyx you can change the file format (png is default) and save-to location (desktop is default) of screen captures, using the Paramaters > General tab setting.

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough.

I know about Shift-Cmd-3 and Shift-Cmd-4. Both are not what I'm looking for. I want a screenshot of a window, including borders. This is Grab allows me to do, but then with Grab there's so many steps involved in getting the picture right.

Is there a way to automate this and bind it to a keystroke (e.g. Shift-Cmd-5)?

I checked Automator, and Grab does not export any actions Automator can use, it seems...
