i'm not sure if this is a hardware or software problem but whenever i move my mouse to fast in one direction, the cursor just stays still and does nothing at all. its become so annoying like whenever i want to use a hot corner and make a quick movement, i find my cursor where it was and my mouse at the end of my desk. any ideas on how to fix this if it is a software problem?
iMac With iSight and intel duo core processor,
Mac OS X (10.4.10)
no but my desk also has a wood grain which should work well for optical mice and i also tried using the mouse on graph paper and i sill got the same problem.
My iceMouseJr has become so odd it's driving me nuts. I cant highlight an entire line most of the time. I just downloaded a driver but that didn't help much (Thiugh it made all the finder icons bigger).
I'd sure like to figure this out. A computer with a funky mouse is not too cool.
I also am have severe problem the mouse ( tried both wired and wireless mighty mouse), The tracking is "jittery" can't get to areas of the screen, move vursor to a spot and it instantly moves to another. I tried changng mouse pads - no help. The problem is inconsistant - sometimes the mouse works fine. I also have a wacom tablet with mouse, and that mouse works perfectly.
Sounds very similar to the problem I have. About 10% of start-ups my wireless mouse lags behind my hand movement then suddenly catches up when movement stops. Can't find a cure. I just switch off and restart and, so far, its back to normal at the restart. Batteries okay and mouse is clean.
