CPU extension SSE2

CPU extension SSE2

I recently purchased Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 for my PowerBook, and it will not install because I need "support for CPU extension SSE2". Is there an upgrade I can install, or do I need a newer CPU to run this software? I am not very familiar with it, and nothing came up when I ran a search on the Apple web site.

Adobe says Premiere Pro CS3 will run on Intel CPU:

"..Multicore Intel® processor (Adobe® OnLocation™ CS3 is a Windows application that may be used on Macintosh using Boot Camp and Windows, sold separately).."

PowerBook 17" has Power PC CPU, not an Intel one.

In short, Adobe has left PowerPC Macs in the dust. Newer Adobe products such as Premiere, Soundbooth and such will only work on Intel Macs.

I have a G-5 PPC and am wondering about the inability to install due to lack of "Support for CPU extension SSE2."

This does not bode well for my future with Adobe, if they will only be porting to intel processor systems.
