Can you download Java or Shockwave onto the iPhone?

Can you download things, like Java and Shockwave, on to the iPhone?
Lots of things, like interactive weather maps, requirer it.

2 MacBook2,1 ; iMac G5 ; iPod Nano ; iPhone ; 5 iMac G3's, Mac OS X (10.4.10), .Mac is Great!

No there isn't.

You can go to some sites that have alternate coding.

For example, for weather, you can go to http://iweathr.com/iweathr/ for weather radar -- it gives you an animated image, but doesn't use flash, javacode, or Shockwave.

There are just some things the iPhone will not do, though. It's not unique to the iPhone -- a LOT of smartphones won't accomodate streaming media either.
