voicemail length limit?

voicemail length limit?

Is there a limit on the length of voicemails? I know you can't go on forever, but someone left me a 59 second message and then it cut off and I know that wasn't the whole message. Is a minute the longest the voicemail can be? Sounds a bit skimpy.

iMac G5 and Macbook Pro and iPhone, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

I just dialed my phone and left myself a 2 minute, 4 second long message, so the recording time is at least that long. All of it played back in my visual voicemail.

I would have gone longer, but I got bored talking to myself.

Hi OTL:

A MacWorld editor reports that his voice mailbox was filled up at 40 messages totaling nearly 18 minutes: http://iphone.macworld.com/2007/07/yourvoicemail_box_isfull.php He doesn't mention whether he noticed a limit on the individual message size.
