Where is SSN format?

Anyone know how to assign cells the automatic format for entering social security numbers i.e. XXX-XX-XXXX in Numbers? I can't find it anywhere. You would think something so simple and common would be obvious and easily found.

You can also put the U.S. social security number in a column of zero width and fake the formatted value in another cell. Assuming the SSN is entered as a number in B11:

=LEFT(B11,3)&"-"&MID(B11,4,2)&"-"& RIGHT(B11,4)

Instead of the & you can alternatively use the CONCATENATE function on comma separated character strings. It's a work-around until Apple decides to let us make our own formats. Hopefully that will happen soon.

Most formatting seems to be gone or should we say not there. My standard date format is not available. I have to have other formatting like Employer Identification Number formatting & the much more common telephone number formatting. We need several different telephone number formatting to keep up with all of the ways it is done world-wide as well as all the way different ones in the same country wants to do it.

This is just one of the many areas that have large gapping holes. As some have said, this should have really been a no cost beta with an additional feature set before it was finished & was a charged for product. Not ready for prime-time is the correct answer for most of us.
