I have set up my Yahoo and AOL account. Whenever I try to set up my gmail, I recieve the message. "Cannot Connect Using SSL Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?"
If I select Yes or No, it still won't open my account. Any advice?

If you cannot set up Gmail with the Gmail short cut in add account.
You might want to set up Gmail as other.

First off all make sure that you have enabled pop on your Gmail account.

Then on your iphone, go to settings>mail>add account
    choose other
    then enter needed information
    Server Information

    Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.gmail.com
    Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com

    Login Information
User Name: Enter your Gmail username (including @gmail.com)
    Password: Enter your Gmail password

Once the account sets up, you can go back into the account settings>advanced and turn ssl off.

    Hope this helps

Thanks Scott. I was having the same problem and your suggestion (enabling POP on gmail settings) solved it.

This helped me very much as well! However, I'm trying to email photos that I've just taken, and it doesn't appear that they are sending . . . how do I send the email? Or know that it gets sent?

keep in mind that some people have already enabled POP on gmail, and still you won't be able to receive messages. For me, i had to disable and enable POP on gmail and it worked great.
