Autofit selection to resize columns

Can someone please tell me how to autofit columns to fit the text?

In excel you select the column then Format -> Column -> Autofit Selection

You just select your columns and it is under "Table" in the menubar about half-way down (called "resize column to fit content").

A follow up to that is how do you get numbers to resize only to the selected cell(s)? The resize to content seems to resize to every cell in the column even if you only have a few selected.
