Why did Apple stop making Printers?! Need Help with HP

I recently upgraded my Airport and now I can't print to my HP 4000 from my laptop! I have no problems printing from my G5. I have tried everything I can think of, but obviously I'm missing something. I have put in the location address about a hundred times, and everything looks good but all I get is a nasty exclaimation point and a Jobs Stopped reading in the printer window. When I run the Network Diagnostics it says that it can connect to the internet but not the server PS-42A088-P1.printer.tcp.local. I cannot think of another thing to try... Why did Apple stop making printers?!!
