FYI: 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Just brought the new toy home today... the car not the phone 🙂

...the Bluetooth functionality of the vehicle works perfectly with the new '08 C-Class. But with a few snags...

I experienced a slight difficulty in pairing the two devices... when I sent the car to go pair with the phone, it was unsuccessful. However, when I had the phone request to pair with the MB unit, the pairing was successful.

Just thought this might be useful for anyone else getting one of these new cars.

The final issue appears though as if you cannot populate the car's 'phone book' manually. It receives VCF contacts via bluetooth. I don't think the iPhone supports transmitting these, correct me if I'm wrong. My work around though, was to transmit the appropriate contacts from my old RAZR.

Congrats on the new car 🙂

I just bought the new Infiniti G37, and tried to import my contacts as you did, using a different phone. My problem is, the G37 recognizes up to 8 cell phones, and each one has its own address book. So my contacts don't appear for the iPhone. My only resort was to manually add them.

What the iPhone really needs is the ability to transfer contacts via BT. That would probably solve both of our issues.
