ADAT to firewire converter

I have recently bought a Behringer ADA8000, which I will be taking through my Fostex DMT-8, and recording multiple tracks simultaneously into logic 7.2.

What I require is a simple converter, rather than having to fork out more money on an 8-channel firewire audio interface, if this is possible.

I thought this was the most relevant place to post such a question, thanks in advance and sorry if i got it wrong.

'A simple converter' isn't possible.

What you require is a device that accepts digital audio signals sent via the ADAT interface and then sends then via FireWire in a protocol your audio applications can understand.

Guess what, that device is called an audio interface with ADAT ports.

As to what is the cheapest Firewire interface with 2 ADAT ports, that is another story, but check out interfaces in the Focusrite Saffire range, or from MOTU.
