Autorun applescript from flash drive upon insertion
I was wondering if anyone had any information on how to get a script thats on a flash drive to automatically run as soon as the drive is inserted. Kind of like the autorun.inf on windows. I would like to do this so that it's not computer specific, meaning that it would open the script on any computer that the drive is plugged into... Thanks!

Due to security reasons, this cannot be done; it is possible to create an AppleScript which will erase the contents of the logged in account's home folder, or make some other undesirable changes to the system, without any additional passwords, authentication, or confirmation being needed. More information is available in
this thread.
Okay, this makes sense... New question: Can you autorun an application rather than a script, or are you limited to the background picture and the volume folder actions previously mentioned? Thanks.
For the same reason, an application cannot be automatically started in that manner; a compiled AppleScript can be saved as an application, and any application can do the same things as the script can. The only options available are those previously mentioned.
