Is this LCD backlight leakage enough to warrant a return? What are my changes that I may get one worse or similar? Image taken with brightness set at minimum.
Same issue here. I noticed it after the second day of use. It will go away after restarting, but comes back from time to time. I would exchange, but I also hear others are having the same issue with exchanged ones. Apple please help!
I was told, "The iMac is not a machine for critical work and because of how it's constructed, you probably won't find one you would be satisfied with". I returned mine.
I have another issue when i'm on white or grey background
* the centre part of my screen has a yellow tint when the sides and corner appeared more bluish zzz
So Far Anyone has any luck with a near prefect screen?
I got my replacement. The backlight bleed is better, it's more at the bottom than top. The brightness issue of the left side is "better", but still noticeable. Needless to say, I'm still disappointed, but don't have confidence anymore that Apple can deliver me a nice evenly lit display like my 20" cinema display.
I ran a light meter over my iMac and the values were all over the place, especially when I used bright colors. My cinema display barely changed values. I really want an iMac and not a MacPro/Cinema Display, so I might have to settle for this or nothing, unless someone has suggestions.
