Default font sizes and styles in Safari 2.0.4

Default font sizes and styles in Safari 2.0.4

I'm apologize if this has been asked before, but can anyone tell me about the default font size preferences in Safari 2.0.4? I'm currently showing:

Standard font: Arial 9
Fixed-width font: Arial 10

I'm fairly sure those are edited from the defaults. What does a "fresh install" of Safari show?

Welcome to Apple Discussions

The defaults are higher - probably around 16. I believe New Times is used for the Standard Font. Not sure about the Fixed Width, perhaps Monaco, however, that's a guess.

The Skia font seems best for viewing on a monitor. I have mine set for 16 for both standard and fixed.

I've heard from a colleague that "the default font in Safari is Times 16 and the default fixed-width font is Courier 13." Can anyone confirm?

That sounds right. As I suggested, give the font Skia a try.
