music from mac formatted ipod to windows ipod...

first of all, i just wanted to say that i didnt appreciate Chris CA closing my thread. the music which i am trying to get onto my ipod from my friends, is music that WE wrote and music that i need on my ipod for myself. it would be great if the users here like Chris CA stop assuming things about new users.

anyways...

my friend let me borrow his ipod to get music from to put onto my computer then ipod...but it says its mac formatted and i have windows. i tried to change it but it said things will be erased and i dont want to mess up his ipod.

how can i get his music to my itunes then onto my ipod without messing his ipod up? like i said, his ipod is mac formatted and i have windows. i do have PodUtil, but its still mac formatted so i odnt know what to do. it's a 30g video ipod (both of them).

thanks for your time

First of all, +Chris CA+ does not have the authority to close a thread.

You'll need to contact Microsoft to solve that problem. You see, Macs have always been able to read Windoze formatting but Windoze machines have never been able to read Mac formatting.

If Microsoft won't help you, your only other solution is for your friend to burn the music onto CDs or DVDs and transfer that way. Considering your purpose, it's probably best to burn mp3 instead of audio.
