Logitech VX nano wireless mouse issue

Last week I bought a logitech vx nano wireless mouse and the new apple aluminium keyboard. When using the USB receiver on the new apple aluminium keyboard (model A 1243).. it creates a serious error when starting up the macbook pro. As soon as you touch the mouse a panic window pops-up asking to restart your machine. I guess problem is the two new devices, both are brand new on the market and there might be some conflicts with the drivers... Even the logitech driver on their web site doesn't help. Does anyone has the same issue or I am the only one with a macbook pro 2.2 using logitech vx nano witeless mouse and the brand new (imac) keyboard (A1243)???? Stan

I bought a logitech nano vx wireless mouse too last week and downloaded mouse software from logitech download site for mac os x. However when mouse is active, it often times behaves weird like these:
1. Spotlight does not search at all OCCASIONALLY. After I unplug/disable mouse and rebooting, working normally.
2. When I press "command + tab" key, quick window switch (I am not sure official name) moves like 100mph.
3. When I press scroll bar left or right, any active window tends to keep left or right unwillingly.

After having couple of these problems, I passed my mouse to my Thinkpad laptop and using wired mouse instead.

I hopefully wait next version of mouse software from logitech.

I have a MBP 2Ghz IC2D.

You're not the only one with this issue. I to get the same Kernel panic error (Grey transparent screen overlay) when using the VX Nano. It has to do something with the mouse and not your keyboard. It happens randomly and when I called Logitech Tech Support, they said to ask the retailer to supply a replacement due to receiving a faulty product. When asked it they had received any other complaints, they didn't answer.

Great, so here we go again with another company who won't take these major software/hardware incompatibilities into consideration and find a solution ASAP.

Basically you will need to uninstall the Logitech software from your laptop and hope that OSX will recognize the other 3 out of 5 mouse buttons. I did this with an older 3 button mouse from Logitech, and OSX does not recognize the 3rd button.

For what it's worth, I have a Logitech VX (not the nano VX) and have had sporadic issues with the "kernel panic" lockups that appeared to be related to connection/disconnection of the mouse.

I had installed Leopard a few days ago and the frequency of the problems appeared to worsen, so I went to the Logitech site and re-downloaded and reinstalled the LCC. It's only been a couple days, but so far, so good. I haven't had another freeze.
