Dtxpress III and GarageBand

I've bought a USB Midi Interfase to connect my electronic drums to the computer to record them with garageband or with logic pro but i don´t know how to set up the computer. I used drum loops but now i want to record myself playing the Yamaha Dtxpres III. I really need your help...
The USB interfase is a E-MU 1x1 USB INTERFASE and i'm using a macbok Intel core duo

What USB interface are you using to connect your DTXPRESS drumset to your computer? I'm using an M-Audio MIDI Sport Uno, and it's not working the way I expected. I have to play really loud and slow or it misses beats. It looks like a weak signal or something, because sometimes garageband doesn't know that a beat has stopped.

I don't know if this is the Uno, or if I'm supposed to change settings on my set.
