AIM errors

I would like to preface my statement by saying yes I do know about I-Chat but would rather use the actual AIM client.

Now I installed AIM and was working fine. Then it began to kick me off and revert me back to my original settings. Now when I start AIM *every time* it says "AIM has unexpectedly quit". I tried re-opening no luck. I tried restarting, no luck. I updated my software, no luck. I uninstalled and re-installed, no luck. Still I get this error message. How can I get this to stop?

Here is some of the error info
