Sony DVD201 handycam

Not sure if this qualifies as a Final Cut question but here it goes...
I'm importing footage from a Sony DVD 201 Handy cam. I can't import through log and capture because the hook up is USB from the camera (I hate Sony). So I can rip the .VOB files off the finalized discs using Visual Hub BUT one of the discs finalized as a DVD_RTAV. I can't find a mac compatible program to convert. I tried Yade X but that didn't seem to work and Visual Hub does not support. I can't even drag the files (.bup, .ifo, or .vro) onto my desktop in an attempt to rename the extension. I don't want to spend a ton of money on more software. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I also already tried to unfinalize the disc and redo the process but it won't let me.

Most of the Sony "little" cameras include some software for getting the video off the drive and into a PC... usually by USB. Perhaps your best bet would be to take the software disk and camera to a friend who has a Windoze machine and talk them into helping you.

Once the footage is in the PC, it will likely have another suffix like .TOD Just transfer it raw to a DVD or CD and then use one of the tried and true conversion programs that run on a Mac.
