Two-line street addresses in Address Book (with implications for Safari)

Many street addresses are two-line, including my own. For example (purely imaginary, but a common format nevertheless):

Hereford House
22 Roman Way

Address Book only seems to allow one line for the street (unusual in an American product!), so I have been getting around it by using a carriage return in the address. Unfortunately, this causes problems with Autofill in Safari: the street part of the address comes in as one line, like this:

Hereford House22 Roman Way

Needless to say, I probably end up spending MORE time correcting Safari forms than if I entered the address by hand.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a better way to proceed?
