I cant log in the itune store. it said my account name or password is incorect but i could login with that email address and password to the website.

now the error 5002 keep jumping out..

    I'm having the same problem. I have never downloaded songs from iTunes or logged into it before but I have an AppleID. When I try to sign in with my ID, it tells me the ID/password is incorrect even though I KNOW that I am entering it correctly. I have reset my password multiple times. I have also tried to sign up again with the same ID, but then it just tells me the ID already exists.

    I'm having the same exact problem! I have also never used the iTunes store, but I can get into the Apple Store with my Apple ID. I have tried resetting the password, installing the latest iTunes, and creating an account with my same Apple ID. My brother can log into his account from my computer, so I'm pretty sure the problem isn't with my computer and its settings.

    iTunes is playing up and has been since I tried to 'buy' several songs yesterday evening. I have had an account for years and have never encountered such problems as I have in the last two days, for instance, iTunes keeps telling me that it does not recognize my password and my 'payment has been declined' therefore I am not going to 'panic' and reset my settings - Apple will sort out the problem tomorrow [Monday 3 September] when they realize not many of their customers have been buying!!!

    I'm still having issues, I can log on to the apple website but i cant log on using itunes. i recently made a new account. my old appleID was using my school e-mail as a login, but i dont have access to that e-mail anymore...i graduated. does anyone still have this issue?

    I had the same problem, it seems to be from missing account information. This is how I fixed my issue.

    Log into your account on the "Your account" page on the web

    https://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?nnmm=a cct&mco=85437DAC

    go to "change account information"

    Make sure you input your birthdate, and the password hint "question"

    after this I was able to log into iTunes.

    Doesn't work for me. Just tried again. Now I'm told that "this Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store." That's fine. But what is next? All I can click is "Review Account" and it does nothing.

    I can't log in either. Its really frustrating, since I know my ID and password are right since I can log into apple. I've changed my password, and that didn't work, and I have a security question and birthday set...

    I've never used itunes/just got my ipod today, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but as far as I'm aware, I'm not doing anything wrong...

    i updated the software for my ipod, and suddenly i could log in, so if anyone else has problems, you might try that?
