Apple TV and Airport Extreme

I just got a new Airport Extreme and would like to connect to my Apple TV. Can anyone tell me how to do this.. I'm running a Mac Book Pro 2G Intel Core Duo and an Apple TV 40G. When using a Airport Express it connects right away... who can I connect to the Apple Tv via the Extreme???

Mac Book Pro, Ipod Nano 8GB, G4 Tower, G3 Tower, Titanium Powerbook, iTV 40GB, Mac OS X (10.4.10), Multiple operating systems... yes even Windozzzzzz

Unfortunately there are numerous ways you could set this up, each reflects basic requirements of the user such as security. There are many who would disagree, but assuming this is your main or only router on the network, I'd set the extreme up as a DHCP server and let it allocate an address to the tv and wouldn't bother with mac addresses. I'd set security to WPA.

I'd tend to use a new password when setting up the extreme for the first time (not the one you used for the express) and keep it fairly short (8/13 characters), you may also need to restart all your equipment after swapping over to the extreme.

Thanks for the info.. I had two issues...
1. was the security settings.
2. the setting on the Apple TV

Your info got me thinking in the right direction.
