my ipod won't play music

My ipod won't play music anymore.It will show up the song but it doesn't want to play.I skip in the middle of the song to see if it will play but it just skips all of the songs I have. I have tried turning up the volume but there is still no sound.I have also tried other headphones but it's still the same problem!!What should I do?

I'm having the same issue. The ipod will display the songs however they will not begin to play. The icon says it is playing but the songs do not start. No problems with anything else on the ipod, photos working properly. What to do?
