Question

Google Earth has a hidden Flight Simulator...

The latest version Google Earth has an hidden Flight Simulator.

Several Mac Users got it working and are very happy with it.
But i can't get it working,

the entry command (Applekey + Option + A) doesn't work on my PB G4 PPC 867MHZ.

any tips , solutions ??

G5 1.8GHZ, PB G4 867MHZ, G4 MMD 1.25MHZ, Powermac G4 450MHZ, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

Here are all the keyboard commands. I haven't played with it that much myself, but I did manage to take off. The brakes were already off; just had to power up and pull back on the "stick."

Do you have the very latest version of google earth because I just tried to test this myself, and it didnt work till I upgraded. To check to see if you are up to date, there is an help dropdown menu labeled "Check for updates online".

Seems like it works after getting the 4.2.x update. However, I couldn't immediately get it to work. When I engaged caps lock, and then entered Cmd-Option-A, I got the Fight Sim info window.

I'll have to try this out... Thanks for the tip. After that, the option is in the Tools menu, even if you quit and restart. And just Cmd-Option-A goes to the flight sim window.

i'm using the lastest version 4.2.0180.1134, but still not working
after loading the program i hit Cmd OptionA but nothing happens.
Maybe i have to switch to an English version because i'm using a different language version, very strange.For now no succes.

I got it working.
Essential is that when the PGR starts you first click on the globe and than hit the key combination. I had also the caps lock on.

Glad you got it working correctly. Also i noticed there is an option to enter flight simulator from the "Tools" dropdown menu as well. Just something easier than remembering the key command...

Except that you have to hit that key combo at least once to enable that "hidden" menu command.

Have managed to open the flight sim but cannot take off. Have put on power, taken off brakes etc but nothing. How do you do it pls?
