Astronomy application for iPhone

I used to have a Palm Pilot with a Planetarium application that was really great for finding stars while outside. Is there something like that for the iPhone, or a good usable web site that would work with Safari.

Thanks all.

If you mean Andreas Hofer's Planetarium there is nothing equivalent that I have found on the web, and certainly nothing for the iPhone. Which is one of the reasons I still have a Palm TX in addition to the iPhone. (Some of the other reasons are Documents to Go, Worldmate Pro, AvantGo, MetrO worldwide mass transit routing, Bonsai outliner, Project@Hand, Pleco Chinese dictionary, HanDBase, Vindigo, Zagat to Go...) In many ways the iPhone has a long way to go to catch up to Palm.

And unfortunately, it's a completely Apple-driven situation. I have been in contact with some palm developers to find out when they will port their apps to iPhone and they all told me they would love to but Apple insists that all 3rd party apps be Web-based.

That's a major bummer because it's slower and I am often in places where Edge cannot reach and where WiFi doesn't yet exist. So, like you, I still carry my trusty Palm T/X.
