Screen is white and making clicking noise

I have the Imac G.4 plat panel. My computer was fine until yesterday when I turned it on, all I got was a blank white screen. Then it would make a clicking noise.....I do not know what to do??
I keep restarting and the same noise and white screen..

Please Help

Hello Shonnett:

It is likely you have a hardware problem. If you are able, run the hardware checker that came with your system.

Hello! You are having hard drive problems. Try booting from the install cd/dvd and repairing the drive. This may work but the clicking sounds are indicative of a failed or nearly failed hard drive. Tom

A clicking noise usually points to a failing hard drive. Find the cds that came with the machine, pop in disc 1, reboot and press C. Then, after it boots to the CD, go to Utilities-->Disk Utility, and see if your hard drive shows up.
