Ok, I'm totally new to programming and have started a Java class. They're using Textpad on the PCs. I have the Dev Tools installed and have looked at Xcode, but can't figure out exactly where to start. Is it with a new Project? A new File? I believe so far we are simply writing .java files and then need to compile them and test them.

Would it be better to load Netbeans or BlueJ, or just use Xcode?

Thanks for the help.
