Magnets with the iPhone

Has anyone heard about there being danger to the iphone when using a magnets around it? I have a case that has a magnetic closure and I am afraid to use it since I read an article stating that magnets may decrease the life of the phone. Any body know anything?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

The wrong magnet can fubar your phone

Don't use old gen phone cases or cases off ebay especially from China

I've been trying to find a purse, but there are so many with magnets in them. There shouldn't be magnets in purses, bags, or backpacks. FUBAR indeed.
