amber light again!

hey yall,
i've looked up all of what i could, trying to figure out why my new ax wont connect properly. when i use the airport utility, setting it up as a non-WDS unit, the ax reboots, but goes right back to flashing amber again. i've tried connecting via ethernet cable, but that didn't work either. all of my firmware is up to date, but this thing just keeps flashing amber. any ideas?

lindenato,

I am assuming that the Express is the only wireless router you have in the system.

Do a factory reset of the Airport Express (disconnect ethernet cable from modem, unplug, paper clip, push button with paper clip, plug back into power, lights will flash and then stabilize, back off on paper clip and then wait until it reinitializes). The Express will then be like it came out of the box - knows nothing of your computer or wireless system). Rebuild your system using a new system name (not your old system name) and new password. Also, what is your internet source, i.e., cable modem, etc. Plug your cable modem into the Express after you reset but before you rebuild your wifi system.
